August 2026 Midheaven Transits

August is the start of a new eclipse season, and with that comes a lot of questions about how that affects each individual chart. Since there’s already a ton of August transit info out there for rising signs, I thought I’d give you the down-low on how this month will be affecting you based on your Midheaven sign.

Check the transits for your Midheaven sign below - I’m interpreting the transits mainly for whatever planets are transiting the sign of your midheaven, depending on what degree your Midheaven is at your personal Midheaven placement will likely be feeling these transits as well.

Aries MC: Saturn in Aries will be trining the Sun for the first half of the month. This feels like will power and logistics and discipline seeing eye to eye for a couple weeks. You still have Neptune and Saturn hanging out at their Aries base camp for a good long while, so you’re probably getting used to that energy signature by now. Once the sun leaves its trine with Saturn, Mercury and Jupiter will take its place trining the disciplinarian. Around the same time Venus will be opposing Saturn so there may be some creative, romantic, or relational tensions to do with your home life vs your career/public life.

Take advantage of the trine energy by applying yourself during this month and getting lots done, but keep an eye out for how that is affecting your relationships and home life toward the second half of the month.

Taurus MC: Chiron in Taurus starts off the month trining the south node and Sextiling the north node. The eclipses that happen this month will likely have a very direct effect on your career and any insecurities that come up for you there. Trine and Sextile mean energy flows easily, but that doesn’t always mean the energy that is flowing is pleasant. Keep an eye on your vulnerability, keep yourself grounded, so that the unpredictable energy of the eclipses is able to channel something positive to the sign of your Midheaven and Chiron is able to do its best work. Chiron in Taurus will get a trine from the Sun towards the end of the month which should help you feel emboldened and empowered to deal with whatever the eclipses and Chiron bring your way.

Gemini MC: Uranus has just entered its 7 year stint through the sign of your Midheaven, and Mars is just finishing up its tour here. Lots of activity for you. Uranus currently (and for the rest of the month) sits in a trine to Pluto all month (slowly moving away) so you’ve got access to a lot of intense, subterranean energy. This might implode on you if you don’t have a good way to express it so find something to channel it into. A month long sextile to Neptune will provide some extremely creative, potentially psychic inspiration to help you channel that Pluto energy. In the second week of August Uranus will get a trine from Venus so you may find yourself particularly well-received during that time. (Great week for creating content, initiating a conversation, or anything where you need to be received well). In the last week of August Uranus will get a square from the Sun and Mercury so this may be the fallout of that Plutonian energy build-up or be an opportunity to work through something that’s been blocking you professionally.

Cancer MC: By the end of the first week of August, Mercury is leaving Cancer in a Square to Chiron, and an opposition to Pluto. Sounds like some difficult communication issues have been coming up at work for you. Once Mercury leaves Cancer, Mars follows closely behind on August 11th. Mars in Cancer doesn’t always know exactly how to express itself but you can expect an increase in energy (whether that’s passion, drive, aggression, anger) to infuse your career/public life during this transit. Mars is sextiling Chiron, trining the North Node, and sextiling the South Node, as well as Squaring Neptune. I would expect whatever conversational unpleasantness you’ve been experiencing to at least get an attempt at a resolution, the support from these transits should be helpful for that. The applying square to Neptune could create some confusion around what is being said and what you’re doing which may be why the communication seems to get easier, but keep an eye on that. As the month continues that square between Neptune and Mars holds on longer than the more pleasant transits, and is followed up by a square to Saturn. This month might be a bit tricky for you so I would avoid anything risky and make sure you’re doing your due diligence in terms of communication. Don’t let your temper get the best of you.

Leo MC: Hey Leo MC…welcome to eclipse season. The south node just hit the sign of your Midheaven and that means you’ll be feeling the eclipse energy right on the most public, outward facing part of your chart. Our first Solar South Node eclipse hits on August 14th, so I’d be expecting the unexpected around this time if I were you. Prepare like there’s going to be a hurricane, either emotionally or administratively. Or both. How you weather the eclipse depends entirely on the quality of your preparations. You’ve also got the Sun and Jupiter transiting this part of your chart right now which on one hand is nice, since Jupiter is a benefic, but Jupiter also expands anything it touches so I could see it mixing with eclipse energy in a rather unpleasant way. Take the blessings, but don’t overload your basket. Basically, there’s A LOT going on here for you this month so bask in the sun, frolic with Jupiter, and prepare instead of being scared for the eclipse. Mercury will join the group towards the second half of the month so there will be added information and mental energy here. The month ends with Jupiter trining Saturn which has the potential to be a lovely boost of productivity in harmony with the bigger picture, as long as you can overcome the hurdles of Saturn being in its fall in Aries.

Virgo MC: You’re starting off the month with Venus squaring mars but it’s a separating aspect so this is something that’s finishing up in your public/career life. It may have felt like a conflict that urgently needed to be resolved between your energy levels and your desire for harmony, or some combo of those. During the second week there are no planets passing through Virgo but depending on where your Midheaven degree is you may have a square to Uranus or Mars, or a trine to Chiron. August 23rd the Sun enters the sign of your Midheaven which means your public life/career life is GLOWING! The sun will just be coming off of its eclipse shift in Leo so it may feel a little hot, but at least the eclipses are pretty much done in Virgo! (There will be one more in February 2027 but other than that you’re done!). This month will also feature a square from the Sun to Uranus, and a trine to Chiron. Tying up loose ends from the last eclipses that happened around your Midheaven, maybe cleaning up the mess that the Leo Midheaven’s made during the eclipse. Mercury joins the sun in Virgo August 25th so enjoy some inspired insights and analytical mindsets from Virgo’s planetary ruler! This is a strong time for writing, communicating, getting ideas out, and coming up with new ideas.

Libra MC: Libra MC’s have the pleasure of opposing all the action going on in Aries right now. Depending on what degree your Libra MC is in will determine how tight an opposition to Saturn or Neptune is, and that will affect how intense it feels for you. Whatever confusion and/or restructuring is going on in your home life/foundation is adding some tension to your career/public life. Also, earlier degree Libra MC’s will likely be in a trine to Uranus, later degrees will likely be in a trine to Mars. Either of these is going to increase the energy of your Career/public life. On August 6th your Planetary ruler Venus will be entering Libra! Woohoo!!! This is a lovely time where your Midheaven will feel empowered and comfortable in its own skin. Check what degree your Midheaven is at and watch for when Venus will be exactly conjunct your Midheaven. That will be a good day to make sure your hair and makeup are done (or whatever the equivalent is for you!). Venus opposes Neptune August 9th so expect an abundance of delirious visions that lead you to very creative or confusing conclusions (haha). This is a very creatively fertile time but there will be some tension along with it. Venus will be trining Pluto during this time so whatever you’re putting out into the world won’t just be pretty, it will have depth too. Venus sextiles Mercury and Trines Uranus during the second week of August, so quite a lot of really supportive and creative transits going on for your Midheaven here. August 21st Venus will be exactly opposite Saturn, a famously uncomfortable aspect. In this case the criticism is likely coming from inside the house so watch your inner critic and be gentle with yourself. Overall, this month has a lot of creative potential for you.

Scorpio MC: You guys have pretty much no planets directly transiting the sign of your Midheaven this month, so it’s SLIGHTLY more of a chill month for you, but depending on what degree your Midheaven is at check for what Aspects other transiting planets are making. You do have Chiron in Taurus, the sign of your IC this month, and the Sun will be in a Square to your Midheaven sign (by sign) all month. By sign (and for some by degree) Pluto will also be making a Square to your Midheaven but that’s gonna be true for the next 20ish years. There’s a direct pressure from Pluto to your Midheaven to dig deep, be impactful, go all the way. Try not to let that get the best of you. Pluto will be in Aquarius for a long time, this is a marathon not a sprint. The eclipses that will be happening in Leo and Aquarius over the next eclipse cycle will be squaring your Midheaven axis so they could feel personal to you despite not being exactly in your Midheaven or IC sign. This may manifest as another part of your life being chaotic and therefore affecting your public life/career life. Or it could mean Midheaven related topics get left on the back-burner. Batten down the hatches in the eclipse areas of your life, and give your career a life raft so that it can keep floating even if you’re not around.

Sagittarius MC: You’re dealing with Uranus transiting the sign of your IC for about 7 years, and you have no real aspect relationship to the eclipses so you may find that your career/public life is not particularly affected by this eclipse cycle. However, Uranus in the sign of your IC is no small matter. If this doesn’t manifest as the stereotypical “moving a lot” expression, it will manifest as instability or sudden change in your home life and foundation some other way. While Uranus was in Taurus I moved homes around 15 times in 8 years. So I speak from experience. This obviously affects your ability to show up in your public life and career so all I have to say is, don’t fool yourself into thinking that the instability doesn’t affect you. Moving is AWFUL. Any instability in the home, even if it is necessary and results in good things ultimately, is very disorienting. Give yourself grace, give yourself more margins than you think you need. In the second week of August Uranus will get a trine from Venus, so there is some support here and it’s not necessarily going to be all bad. Innovations at home or in your family have the graceful touch of Venus this week so take advantage of it by trying out that new home decor idea! A trine from Pluto that will be present all month adds depth to your family relationships and your perspective around alone time. Maybe new familial information comes to light that makes life a little easier.

Capricorn MC: Mercury just finished up a big and messy retrograde in the sign of your IC so home life and foundation topics might feel a little dizzy right now. This will inherently affect how you show up in the Midheaven part of your chart. That being said, Mercury is on its way out of Cancer this month and the next planet to head in that direction is Mars. Capricorn itself won’t host any major transits but as a cardinal sign your Midheaven will feel the activity going on in Aries. Mars will enter Cancer on August 11th so expect some energy to pick back up in your home life. Maybe this is the cleanup crew after Mercury’s retrograde through the area. Mars in Cancer is mars in its fall, so there is a possibility here of the energy of Mars not expressing in a super positive way. Just make sure Mars’ energy isn’t channeled into suppressing your feelings or being passive aggressive, and August should be pretty chill for you.

Aquarius MC: You have Pluto in the sign of your Midheaven for around 20 years, and you have just entered an eclipse season that will specifically affect your Midheaven Axis. Congrats! Lol. There is a lot of change, transformation, and potential instability in this axis for you right now. Things are being stress tested. Our first Solar South Node eclipse hits on August 14th in the IC side of this axis, so I’d be expecting the unexpected around this time if I were you. Pisces MC: This part of your chart is quite empty until the end of the month when Mercury and the Sun move into Virgo, the sign of your IC. Depending on how close your Midheaven is to 5 degrees, it might be sitting in a Square to Uranus which is likely giving you a sense of urgently needing to re-evaluate, re-invent, and re-invigorate. Allow the friction to inspire you to creative solutions but don’t let it get the better of you. August 23rd the Sun enters the sign of your IC which means your home/foundation life is GLOWING! The sun will just be coming off of its eclipse shift in Leo so it may feel a little hot, but at least the eclipses are almost done in Virgo and Pisces! (There will be one more in Pisces on August 28th, and one more in Virgo in February 2027 but other than that you’re done!). This month will also feature a square from the Sun in Virgo to Uranus, and a trine to Chiron. Tying up loose ends from the last eclipses that happened around your Midheaven. Mercury joins the sun in Virgo August 25th so enjoy some inspired insights and a sense of organization at home from Virgo’s planetary ruler! It will likely feel refreshing after the mess of Mercury Rx in Cancer. This is a strong time for establishing systems and routines at home that will support your public life in the future.
